Degaussing and Crushing
Trinity IT Recycling provides secure degaussing and physical crushing services for data-bearing devices that require permanent and irreversible destruction. Degaussing uses a powerful electromagnetic field to disrupt and eliminate data stored on magnetic media, making the drive unusable. For physical destruction, we utilize high-security, NSA/CSS-listed crushing equipment capable of applying approximately 40,000 pounds of force, physically destroying hard drives and making data recovery impractical. These services are ideal for sensitive or confidential data, damaged or non-functioning drives, and organizations with strict data protection and compliance requirements. Upon request, we provide Certificates of Physical Destruction, along with optional photo or video documentation, to provide verification, transparency, and audit support.
