Hard Drive Shredding
Hard Drive Shredding – Onsite & Offsite Services
At Trinity IT Recycling, we provide secure and reliable hard drive shredding services both onsite and offsite to ensure sensitive data is permanently destroyed and cannot be recovered. We follow NIST-aligned data destruction practices and use industrial shredding equipment designed to reduce data-bearing devices to small, irrecoverable particles. For 3.5-inch HDDs, our shredding particle size is approximately 1.6 inches (40 mm) x random, while 2.5-inch HDDs and SSDs are shredded to approximately 0.19 inches (5 mm) x random. Onsite shredding allows destruction at your facility for added security and chain-of-custody control and is subject to minimum quantity requirements and applicable service fees. Offsite shredding provides secure transportation to our facility for controlled destruction and does not require a minimum quantity. Upon completion, Trinity IT Recycling provides Certificates of Data Destruction and supporting documentation for your security, compliance, and recordkeeping requirements.
Physically Destroying Hard Drives Is the Best Way to Keep Data Secure-
When highly sensitive or confidential information must be permanently eliminated, physical destruction provides the highest level of assurance that the data cannot be recovered or reconstructed. Simply deleting files, formatting a drive, or removing a device from service does not necessarily eliminate the information stored on it. Physically shredding hard drives and SSDs destroys the storage media itself, making the original data inaccessible and preventing traditional data recovery techniques. Trinity IT Recycling uses controlled shredding processes to reduce data-bearing devices to defined particle sizes, helping organizations protect confidential information, reduce data-security risks, and meet their data destruction and compliance requirements. Whether destruction is performed onsite at your facility or securely offsite at our processing location, our process is designed to provide a documented and verifiable end-of-life solution for data-bearing devices.
